Motorola MaxTrac 900 Ham Conversion

4/4/2007 - How long has it been? Can't be that long! Ok, finally got around to getting the software for the eprom, and purchased a silver paint pen. I removed the covers and removed the VCO module's cover. I first drilled a little hole with a dremel tool and then screwed in a screw to be able to pull up on the cover. I used a hot air gun with a special attachment to heat all four sides at the same time. At about 400C for about 30 seconds was all that was needed! The cover almost came off on it's own... - KC2NDA
